Welcome! I'm Shell. And Here's My Story....

I was brought up eating banana chips, taking vitamins, eating garden fresh vegetables, and my mom prescribing "home remedies" the few times I was ever sick. Little did I know what having that knowledge base would lend to me later in life. 

In February, 2023, I found a lump in my right breast. Then, after diagnostic imaging and a biopsy, on June 8th, at age 49, I was diagnosed with Stage 2B Invasive Ductal Carcinoma with a very rare subtype. When I saw the first surgical oncologist at the end of June, I was told I'd have to have chemotherapy before surgery because of the size of the tumors and the aggressive nature of the cancer. I was numb- as a sole provider, special needs, mom- that protocol would not "fit" into my life- not to mention toxic drugs and healing my body did not compute.

Having holistic knowledge in knowing that food could be used as medicine to heal along with having a strong faith in God's healing power, I made the courageous decision to say no to chemotherapy and radiation, despite what the doctors suggested.

It was time to get INTENTIONAL WITH FOOD and pray my way through with God's guidance!

An unhealthy diet is not what activated the cancer in my body. Although poor dietary habits can activate cancer in our bodies, for me, it was likely the many years of chronic stress and grief that caused my cells to proliferate uncontrollably.

It’s true that stress and grief will kill you; it’s also true that poor food choices will. 

I immediately dove into evidence-based research on what to feed my body to kill the specific cancer cells circulating in my system and regenerate healthy cells to replace them, all while sharing my journey on social media.

That is how “Shell’s Killer Kitchen” was born.

Ironically, in January of 2023, less than a month before I found that lump, and after 3 years of being in business, I closed my brick and mortar “Shell’s Killer Bakery”, which was a small-batch, from scratch, organic bakery. With a large social media following who was watching my journey online, I decided to rebrand my brick and mortar and started educating my followers online instead, teaching them how to eat to beat disease and live life with vitality with all that I was learning and implementing.

Yes- I did this in the midst of battling breast cancer because it gave me a  positive purpose to focus on - that was PART of my healing journey!

Helping other is what breathes life into my soul!

After nearly 6 months of making myself a science experiment by reading, studying and implementing what I was learning in nutrition science textbooks and through empirical research, on August 29th, I chose to have a double mastectomy to reduce any chance of it coming back in my other breast.

My post surgery tumor pathology report proved what I did with nutrition and supplements, worked!

Lab reports do NOT lie! The center of the two tumors that were removed from my body were completely DEAD as if they had been treated with Chemo drugs.

I was a walking miracle!

The best part is, if I had not shared that I had cancer, nobody would have known, because eating the way that I did to fight the cancer invading my body, had me  feeling better and looking younger than ever!

Now, at 50 years old, I have no sign of cancer or circulating tumor DNA in my body less than 1 year after I found that huge lump in my breast.

It's now January 2024, I have a new year, new breasts, a new career path, and and I am cancer free!

 God gave me a new way of life with this testimony!

Now, I get to share this way of life with you to help you live a long life WITHOUT disease!
